Floral Art in the Park

Come and admire our parklands in full bloom. Take a stroll in the fresh spring air, and you’ll already see a swathe of flowers in front of the Group Forum from the other side of Mittelland Canal. Blooming cherry trees, colourful flowers, and floral sculptures from renowned artists create cheerful colour highlights and breathtaking views.

Floral Staircase

We’ll be turning the stairs in front of the Group Forum into a sea of flowers for Spring Awakening, leaving them in all their splendour after the event has ended. There will be a colourful arrangement of potted plants forming a huge “25” facing the city to mark this year's anniversary at Autostadt.

Vertical Garden

We’ll be adding huge planted columns to the diverse floral display in our parklands. You’ll see abstract sculptures that form the base taking shape by nature’s design throughout the spring months.

Boom Booms

The “Boom Booms” floral display created by American artist Jason Hackenwerth consists of ten thousand latex balloons hand-tied together to form a three-dimensional flower. This amazing and incredibly detailed work is sure to set the mood for the season.

Waterlillies

The “Waterlillies” installation designed by UK artist Bruce Munro shows floral art on the parkland water features. These reflective water lilies shimmer in a breathtaking play of light, especially with the sun shining on them.

Gardening for Kids

Our small gardening centre gives kids an opportunity to get creative at the planting tables and seed bar growing micro-greens – small plants grown from seeds of vegetables, herbs, and flowers that are edible and extremely healthy with valuable micronutrients. Kids can also make seed balls to take home with them.

Greenhouse

Our greenhouse will have a variety of fragrant herbs awaiting you on the Piazza forecourt. We’ll be showing a variety of greater and lesser-known plants such as mountain mint, sage, lavender, and purple loosestrife.

Spring market

You’ll find pretty spring decorations as well as freshly tied bouquets and floral gifts at selected stalls in our Autostadt Parklands. There will also be a variety of food and drinks stalls to enjoy.
