Autostadt car parks are intended for the use of guests and visitors attending an Autostadt event.
The following regulations apply to users entering the car park.
1. GENERAL
The German road traffic regulations (StVO) apply in all Autostadt car parks. Vehicles may only be driven at walking pace.
Instructions from the car park staff must be followed. These employees act in accordance with Autostadt rules and other regulations.
The use of bicycles, scooters, e-scooters, roller skates or similar is prohibited on the park grounds, the Stadtbrücke (bridge) and the promenade, unless the use is necessary for parking or is expressly permitted in individual cases or as described below.
The following regulations apply to guests visiting the Autostadt with micro vehicles or alternative means of transport.
Promenade and Stadtbrücke (bridge)
• Inline skates are permitted for use at walking speed, provided the rules of common courtesy are observed.
• E-boards/skateboards must be carried in these areas.
• E-scooters/kick scooters must be pushed by hand in these areas.
• E-bikes/bicycles must be pushed by hand in these areas.
Exception: Young children (2-6 years) who are within immediate calling distance/sight of a guardian and using a child-sized version of the above-listed means of transport on the promenade or Stadtbrücke (bridge) are exempt from this regulation, providing they follow the rules of common courtesy.
Park grounds
The use of the above-mentioned means of transport is generally prohibited on the park grounds. The lockers and cloakroom located on the lower floor of the Piazza or the bicycle stands can be used to store/park these vehicles.
Exception: Young children (2-6 years) who are within immediate calling distance/sight of a guardian and using a child-sized version of the above-mentioned means of transport on the promenade or Stadtbrücke (bridge) are exempt from this regulation providing they follow the rules of common courtesy.
Daily events or situations requiring increased security may result in a restriction of this regulation.
Some areas of the Autostadt are under video surveillance to protect legitimate interests. The video-monitored areas are marked by signs. Please refer to these signs for information regarding data protection.
2. CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT
Parking a vehicle constitutes a contract for a motor vehicle parking space. Only vehicles registered for public traffic may be parked, with the following exceptions:
• Vehicles with third-party advertising are not permitted to park in the short-term/ServiceHaus car park (PK). However, the visitor parking spaces P1/P2 may be used.
• Vehicles with trailers are not permitted to use any of the Autostadt car parks.
• Designated parking spaces for disabled persons (with an authorized blue badge or a badge marked "aG" ID card) may only be used by these groups.
• Bicycles, motorbikes, scooters, e-scooters and mopeds are only to be parked in the spaces provided.
• Motorhomes are only permitted in the P2 car park.
• Coaches can stop directly on the canal side in the short-term/ServiceHaus car park (PK) for guests to get on and off. The vehicle must then be parked in the coach parking area.
The following terms and conditions are recognized as an integral part of the contract. Users are obliged to comply with the parking regulations
Car park surveillance is not guaranteed.
3. PARKING FEES
Parking fees must be paid at the pay stations or at the WelcomeDesk before leaving the car park; this also applies to parking fees for motorhomes. No fee is charged for vehicles parked less than 30 minutes.

The Autostadt is entitled to a right of retention and a statutory lien on the parked vehicle for any claims arising from the parking contract. If the car park user is in default with the settlement of an Autostadt claim, the Autostadt may process the lien no sooner than two weeks after issuing a warning.
4. VEHICLE PARKING
Vehicles may only be parked within the marked and designated parking spaces in such a way that unhindered entry and exit for passengers and vehicles in adjacent parking spaces is possible at all times.
The car park aisles as well as escape routes and fire brigade access roads must be kept clear at all times. Parked vehicles that are in violation of traffic regulations will be towed away at the owner's expense.
Parked vehicles must be carefully locked and secured. Please do not leave children or animals unattended in your vehicle. Otherwise, the Autostadt reserves the right to open the vehicle if lives are in danger.
5. LIABILITY OF CAR PARK USERS
Car park users are liable for all damages to the Autostadt or third parties culpably caused by themselves, their employees, agents or accompanying persons. The car park user is also liable for any culpable littering in the car park and its surrounding area.
Any litter for which the car park user is responsible must be removed immediately. Otherwise, the Autostadt shall be entitled to have such debris removed at the expense of the car park user.
6. LIABILITY OF AUTOSTADT GMBH
The liability of Autostadt GmbH is limited to intent and gross negligence. In the event of injury to life, limb or health, Autostadt GmbH shall be liable without limitation within the scope of the statutory provisions. This limitation of liability does not apply if a (cardinal) obligation that is essential for achieving the purpose of the contract has been breached. A cardinal obligation is an obligation that must be fulfilled to make the proper performance of the contract possible and the observance of which the contractual partner may regularly rely.
Liability, however, shall be limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. This also applies to breaches of duty by Autostadt GmbH employees or agents. Liability for indirect damage and consequential damage is excluded. In the event of damage to or destruction of parked motor vehicles, liability is limited to the amount of the fair market value of the motor vehicle or the damaged vehicle parts on the day of the damage (current market value). Liability begins when the vehicle enters the car park and ends when it leaves the car park. Car park users are obliged to immediately report damages to the car park staff using the marked intercom and emergency call systems at the pay station/exit gate, or to the parking team (short-term/ServiceHaus car park PK). Visible damage must be reported before leaving the car park. If notification of damage by the car park user is objectively not possible or reasonable, he or she shall report the damage to the Autostadt in writing within a period of three days (for visible damage) or seven days (for other damage) after leaving the car park. The Autostadt and/or its vicarious agents are not liable for damage caused by other car park users or third parties.
Autostadt GmbH is not liable for damage caused by the loss of the vehicle due to theft, or for damage caused by vehicle break-ins, vandalism or removal of objects from the interior/exterior of the vehicle.
7. JURISDICTION
If the car park user is an entrepreneur within the meaning of § 14 BGB (German Civil Code), Wolfsburg shall be the place of jurisdiction for all legal disputes arising from this contract/parking regulations.
